I just got caught up on your trip from the end of June. What a great experience and sounds like a lot of fun times and siteings.
You are a great writer keeping everything very interesting. Al and I did a similar trip on the motorcycle in the early 80's but without so many hikes.

I have been following along, but haven't had time to comment...you are seeing some amazing beautiful places...great pics! Sam wants to go to Goose Island on our next vacation...he also wants to go see the presidents...have fun! btw yikes on the bear
